2008 Mixed Open Golf Competition - Sunday 3 August 2008

CONDITIONS

1. The competition will be open to Amateur Golfers. Ladies shall be L.G.U Members. Gentlemen shall be Members of recognised Golf Clubs. Entries will be limited to 100 pairs taken in order received.

2. The entry fee shall be £10.00 for each partnership. There will be an optional sweep payable on the day.

3. Entries, with Entry Fee, must be in the hands of the Secretary at Turnhouse by no later than Saturday 26th July 2008 accompanied by a note of Ladies’ LGU handicap and Gentleman’s National Handicap certified by the Secretary of the club from which he has entered. Partnerships will play off one-half combined handicap. Gentlemen’s Handicaps will be subject to a maximum of 20 and Ladies’ a maximum of 30.

4. The competition will be played over ONE Medal Round in accordance with the Rules of Golf and Local Rules applicable to Turnhouse Golf Club. Gentlemen will play off the first tee.

5. Play will commence at 8.30am. Partnerships are asked to indicate their preferred Starting Times and every effort will be made to accommodate them but in the event of duplication, times will be allocated in order of receipt of Entry Forms. Competitors withdrawing after Monday 28th July will forfeit Entry Fees.

6. Subject to a full entry, the following prize vouchers will be awarded per partnership.

7. The Competition Committee reserves the right to reject any entry without disclosing the reason, to adjust any handicap, to alter and amend any of the conditions and to settle any dispute which may arise.

8. In the event of a tie for winning places, winners will be decided on the a basis of the best last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and, if necessary, by a final count-back from the last hole.

9. Presentation of prize will take place at approximately 6.30 pm.

10. No partnership may win more than one prize. In the event of any partnership qualifying for more than one prize they shall be allocated the greater financial prize.

Catering facilities will be available.

Entrants will become Temporary Members of Turnhouse Golf Club for the day of the Competition.
