John Murray - Resident PGA Professional at Turnhouse Golf Club

John Murray has a fantastic, fully stocked Golf Professional shop which is open 7 days a week. He carries all the major brands such as Ping, Taylor Made, Titleist, Nike, Footjoy, Calloway, Cobra to name but a few. Prices are very competitive and the staff can provide advice tailored to each individual's game.

Lessons can also be booked through the Pro Shop with John Murray or one of his assistants.

John Murray is a class A PGA Professional with over 23 years experience in all aspects of prfessional golf. He moved to Edinburgh in 1988 where he worked for 3 years at Murrayfield Golf Club and in 1991 took the position of Professional at Liberton Golf Club. in 1992 he came to Turnhouse. Most of his time is taken up with the running of a very well stocked shop and custom fit irons and woods. He also coaches for the Lothian's Golf Association and Clubgolf with all aspects of golf coaching including GASP video and 9 hole lessons.

Scott Greive recently joined the Pro-shop. He has been fully qualified since 2007 and has a wealth of experience in the golf industry. Beginning his career at a private members club in London, before moving and settling in Edinburgh, he was recently involved in the set up of an indoor golf academy in Aberdeen. All of this has helped Scott gain the skills needed to provide members with a first class service in all areas of golf, including coaching, custom fitting and repairs.

James McGhee relinqueshed his amateur status in 2006 to turn Professional, he is currently in his 2nd year after successfully passing his first year. During his amateur career James represented Scotland at both Boys and Youth level, he has made it through local qualifying for "The Open" only to miss out on final qualifying by a couple of shots in 2004 and 2006. James spent 2 years studying Business Managment in South Carolina and is currently using the knowledge gained from this experience to develop both his playing and teaching career.
